Bacteriology and Pharmacology Novax Veterinary combines the antibacterial activity of Oxytetracycline and Sulphadimic with the protective and absorbent properties of Kaolin. The Organism E. Coli is particularly sensitive to Oxytetracycline and strains resistant to the antibiotic are extremely rare. Oxytetracycline is also very active against salmonellosis. Indications Novax is an antibacterial anthelmintic and diarrhea control suspension (i.e.) Novax is for the treatment of Colic, Parasitic gastro-enteritis, helminths, schistosomiasis, Coccidiosis, dysentery, salmonellosis in animals such as dogs, cattle, calves, pigs, goats, poultry, birds, etc. Particularly, effective in neo-natal colifont scours in the piglet and scour and salmonellosis in calves, and Specific and non-specific diarrheas in small animals. Precautions Oxytetracyclines is not absorbed from the alimentary canal and when septicaemis is associated with enteritis concurrent parental antibiotic therapy should be administered.
